UEFA, the governing body of European football, turns heads as it recently announced exciting news regarding the 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony. UEFA has confirmed its partnership with the French private media group Groupe Amaury, the latter owns several renowned companies such as France Football and L’Equipe.

 The two companies will co-organize one of the most prestigious annual football ceremonies in 2024, together introducing two new awards into the mix. The aforementioned men’s and women’s coaches of the year will celebrate the best in class when it comes to the most influential faces in the world of football from a coaching perspective.

Added to these coach awards then, a 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony will see ten accolades handed to members of football’s exceptional community. The ten awards would be the Men’s Ballon d’Or, Women’s Ballon d’Or, Kopa Trophy for the world’s best under-21 player, Yashin Trophy for the world’s best goalkeeper, Gerd Muller Trophy for the top scorer in European football’s club competitions last season, Men’s Club of the Season Trophy, Women’s Club of the Season Trophy and the Socrates Award for humanitarian work.

UEFA President Aleksandr Ceferin is excited about this partnership, putting into words the fact that the Ballon d’Or “represents the pinnacle of individual football recognition.” He foresees this partnership as an opportunity for UEFA and the Ballon d’Or to fuel each other with a “fantastic energy,” merging prominence and excellence in the world of football, a key term for any football enthusiast. Everything suggests that the new partnership will continue to celebrate the extraordinary skill, dedication, and impact of football legends as they make an indelible impression on the history of world football.
