Bruno Fernandes scored a late goal for Man United against Fulham at Craven Cottage. Man United was far from its best on Wednesday but it got a moment of magic from Bruno Fernandes in the 91st minute to score the winner.
To go in details, Fernandes was faced by two Fulham defenders just outside the penalty area and being in that situation to evade them he had quite fabulous moves which resulted in a low 17-yard shot that beat Bernd Leno, the Fulham goalkeeper.
His strike marked his 67th goal for United since he arrived in January 2020, emphasizing his value to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team as a goal-scoring midfielder.
Even though earlier in the match United thought they had taken the lead inside the opening eight minutes with Scott McTominay conversion while after a four-minute VAR check the goal was ruled out after Harry Maguire was adjudged to be offside and interfering with the game and despite not making contact with the ball.
Fulham also had their opportunities, but De Gea made a series of fine stops to keep United level before Fernandes’ late heroism.
